Welcome to SICE2011
The SICE Annual Conference 2011, an international conference on Instrumentation, Control, Information Technology and System Integration, will take place in Tokyo, Japan on September 13‒18, 2011. This conference covers a wide range of fields from measurement and control to system analysis and design, from theory to application and from software to hardware. The official language of the conference is English. Novel interdisciplinary challenges transferable between plural fields are especially welcome．The technical program will include Plenary and Invited Talks, Tutorial Courses, and Workshops, as well as Oral and Interactive Sessions. All the presented papers will be included in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

We would like to express our sincere condolences to those who are suffering due to the recent earthquakes and tsunami.
At the moment, in Tokyo area, we are sharing the burden of the planned Rolling Blackouts, but its negative impacts are quite limited. Most of you may put the deepest concern on the situation of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, however it seems to be stabilized with some positive developments.
