- Please make sure that you complete your registration and payment for
the Conference well in advance. The presenter must wear his/her
nametag during the presentation as a proof of registration.
- Oral session
- The presenter must check in with the chairperson at his/her
session room at least 5 minutes before the beginning of the session.
- All presentations in the oral session must be made in English.
- Each paper is allotted 20 minutes: 15 minutes for presentation and
5 minutes for discussion. However, organized sessions may adopt a
different time span. Please follow the organizer's instructions in
such a case. Time-keeping is left to the presenter.
- Each session room is equipped with an overhead projector and an LCD
projector. Presenters must bring their own laptop computers to use the
LCD projector. It is recommended that presenters bring overhead
transparencies even if they plan to use the LCD projector.
- It is presenters' responsibility to ensure a proper connection between
their laptop computer and the LCD projector. Specifically,
presenters should verify that their laptop's settings provide
compatibility with the LCD
projector before their session, either at the pre-view or
session rooms. Each pre-view room will be equipped with the same
facilities as the session rooms. Technical support persons will be
available at each session and pre-view room; please follow their
instructions. The session and pre-view rooms will be ready
at 9:00 on Aug. 4.
- It is strongly recommended that presenters use only
Windows-based laptop computers, because the LCD projectors
in the session rooms have compatibility problems with some other
types of computers, such as Macintosh.
- Interactive session (Posters)
- Each poster board is 120 cm wide and 200 cm high. For the
script of the poster, please use large letters, in order to be
easily readable from a distance of 2 to 3 m.
- The poster area is located on the third floor of Bldg. 2.
Posters must be put up between 12:00 and 14:00 on the day of the
interactive session.
- Presenters should stand by their posters during the core time,
which is dependent on the poster number (P-01, P-02, ...), to
present their posters and answer questions regarding the content
of the poster. The core times for odd-numbered and even-numbered
posters are 15:20-16:20 and 16:20-17:20, respectively.
- Note: "Poster number" will be announced in the final program
available at the conference site.
- Posters must be taken down immediately after the interactive
session. The organizing committee is not responsible for posters
that have not been removed by 17:30 on Aug. 4.
