SICE2003 TourTuesday, August 5, 2003 Technical & Social Tour A full day tour on Tuesday, August 5 will include a visit to Matsuura Machinery Corporation, Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum and Eiheiji Temple. In the morning you will visit Matsuura Machinery Corporation. After having lunch at Echizen Bamboo Dolls Village, you will proceed to Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum. Around eighty percent of the dinosaur fossil discoveries in Japan have been unearthed in Fukui, so it is appropriate that Fukui is home to Japan's only dinosaur museum. Then you will visit Eiheiji Temple that is founded by Zen master Dogen Zenji and is the headquarters of the Soto Sect of Zen Buddhism. Back to SICE 2003 Homepage. |
