Instructions to Authors

This document will explain general guidelines for paper submission, recommendation of the presentation by English, Conference Awards, changes from SICE2002.

Major Changes

1) From SICE2003, the submission and presentation by authors without SICE membership becomes acceptable.
2) The length of the abstract for the submission is extended to 800-1000 words in English or 2000-3000 characters in Japanese.
3) International Program Committee (IPC) will review the extended abstract.
4) The extended abstract must be prepared as a PDF or MS-Word file and sent electronically using the web-based system.
5) Final Camera Ready Paper must be prepared as a PDF file. MS-Word file is not available as the final camera ready.

The application of the presentation at SICE2003 starts with the submission of the Extended Abstract. After receiving the acceptance notification, the authors should prepare Final Camera Ready Paper and Abstract for Program & Abstract Proceedings by May 21, 2003.

Please note that the copyright of the Final Paper included in the CD-ROM Proceedings should be belong to the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE) of Japan.

The attendee who present their paper by English will be able to become the candidate for the Conference Award. Please note that the presentation made by Japanese could not be nominated for the award.
